Once again the Keriann McLain Fund asked me to make the flyer for their second annual Women's Day fundraiser event. This time they were calling it the Make Me Fabulous Event. We drove an hour to a salon that offered to let us shoot some photos there with a model. But I ended up covering most of the photo with other elements because the salon was decorated in black and dark orange colors. Not what we wanted for a cheerful flyer.

This is the flyer I put together for the Keriann McLain Fund's Christmas Sweater Skating Extravaganza event. We took several photos of the board members in silly poses. This was everyone's favorite.

When you're going to the biggest gaming convention in the world, and you're planning to pass out business cards... it just makes sense, right?

When designing this card I wanted it to be striking, but not too complicated.

Atrophy - This is part of the second series of teaser posters to be released.

Atrophy - The film script called for the lead actor to have a bottle of O'Shea's Irish Whiskey. This was designed to be printed on an adhesive-backed sheet of paper and applied to a bottle for the actors to use in scenes.

Atrophy - This is part of a major prop from the film. It is designed to look handmade, yet hopefully read well on screen. The dark frame indicates where the highlighted section will be removed. The metallic circles will have holes drilled in them for flashing LEDs on the final prop.

Atrophy - This warning label was designed to look like it was printed in the 50's and affixed to a major prop in the film.

Hobocon - This is the artwork used to print the covers for Hobocon DVDs.

Hobocon - This is the artwork used to print the DVD labels. The red frame is to help make sure the main image and overlays are placed correctly. It was removed before being sent for printing.

About The Projects:

Atrophy

Atrophy is the third feature film from Imminent Entertainment, and is a co-production with FlipWorks Media and Poorlydesigned Studios. The film is an action and adventure picture set on an alien post-apocalyptic world. It’s the story of man who suddenly finds himself in this strange land and risks everything he has to get back home. Poorlydesigned Studios was involved in the production of Atrophy from the beginning, acting as Executive Producer and Production Designer, in addition to building many of the props needed for the film.

Hobocon

Hobocon is a documentary about three friends who go to Gencon, a massive gaming convention, with no money, no food and no hotel reservations. The goal was to survive the 4-day event surviving off the kindness of the fellow convention attendees. The film is a co-production of Imminent Entertainment (their second feature film), BFT Ghostworks and Poorlydesigned Pictures. Poorlydesigned Studios was involved in every aspect of the production from its inception.

Coffee Shop Kings
Coffee Shop Kings was the first feature film from Imminent Entertainment. It is the story of two estranged friends who reconnect in a coffee shop during the winter of a Lake Michigan tourist town. Poorlydesigned Studios provided some basic production support, but was mainly responsible for creating the print materials, including the film’s poster and DVD packaging.
